As a former broadcast and print journalist, Brooke Greenwald brings nearly a decade of journalistic experience and a decade of public relations expertise to her current role with Trainer Communications. Ms. Greenwald's ability to media-train, serve as a marketing director, manage teams, design and implement communications strategies, and secure positive media attention for clients has made her specialty in technology, Internet security, and telecommunications even more mission-critical to corporate client success.
Born with the communication gene in her blood, Brooke was first published nationally in third grade and her prolific writing has continued through the years, having authored pieces in more than 100 trade journals, magazines and other periodicals. Growing up in the media-rich Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area, Brooke became a “news junkie” at an early age, spending time in newsrooms, radio stations, and newspapers during high school – eventually parlaying her talents into jobs at NBC, ABC, FOX News, and Washington Post-owned publications.
As a member of the Trainer Communications team, Ms. Greenwald truly understands both the entrepreneurial and the corporate spirits, and blends a unique ability to "think like a reporter" while also delivering creative client counsel. Having spearheaded numerous award-winning communication campaigns, she has helped her clients consistently enjoy national as well as global media coverage, and those clients are typically at the forefront of industry thought leadership.
Ms. Greenwald is a high-energy, deadline-driven, professional who really understands the impact of public relations and marketing strategy on an organization. Brooke is a huge sports fan (Redskins, Terps, Capitals, and Orioles) and when not working on client work, can typically be found playing golf, practicing yoga, or spending quality time with reporters, friends and family. Having a B.S. and a M.A. in journalism and public relations from the University of Maryland at College Park is a tremendous asset, although Brooke's favorite "Maryland" day was when the Maryland men's basketball beat Duke for the national championship!
