Trainer Communications Partners With Mt. Diablo Region YMCA

Susan Trainer, President of Top East Bay Communications Firm, Joins YMCA to Spearhead Communications

DANVILLE, Calif.—Feb. 1, 2005 - Trainer Communications, a leading provider of strategic communications and public relations services for emerging high-technology companies and start-up initiatives, announced today that it is partnering with the Mt. Diablo Region YMCA on a community outreach project. Trainer Communications will be donating tens of thousands of dollars in services to the project, and Susan Trainer, the company’s founder and president, will join the Mt. Diablo Region YMCA Campaign Cabinet as communications chairperson.

“We are privileged to be working with the premier communications firm in the East Bay,” said Mike Erwin, President and CEO, Mt. Diablo Region YMCA. “We see tremendous synergies between the YMCA and the Trainer organization, and together we can create and execute a strategic communications plan to garner the kind of publicity we need to support our community outreach effort.”

“Partnering with the YMCA supports our corporate culture, as we too are committed to building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities,” said Susan Trainer, president of Trainer Communications. “We have had the good fortune of building a very successful business over the last 10 years and take great pride in giving back to our communities by partnering with non-profit organizations like the YMCA and Children’s Hospital of Oakland. Our experienced team is poised to help the Mt. Diablo Region YMCA launch an aggressive communications campaign, and I’m certain that we will achieve great success in this endeavor, just as we have for more than 75 start-up technology companies.”

Dedicated to enriching the lives of all people through programs that strengthen the spirit, mind, and body, the Mt. Diablo Region YMCA has been a presence in the greater Contra Costa County region for more than 50 years. With six branch locations and more than 30 child-care sites at local elementary schools and preschools, the Mt. Diablo Region YMCA currently serves nearly 25,000 households and is continuing to grow and expand its network to meet the ever-changing needs of the local community. The YMCA offers services for all age groups from toddlers to seniors, and financial assistance is available to all individuals who demonstrate proven need. For more information about the Mt.
